The NZ distributor for Sling is located in Palmerston North, so after a couple of months of email correspondence, I was able to take the C-152 over from NZNP to NZPM to visit. Winds of 140/30 made for a slow trip down and a quick trip back!

The route has a deviation after NZWU to avoid the Ohakea military operating areas.

The dealer is also constructing a quick-build TSi so it was good to see their progress, get some tips on tooling etc, and get a feel for how easy it will be to build one myself.

We talked over a few options, and potentially being able to source things like the parachute and engine locally given the ongoing difficulties with international shipping, so all up a very productive trip. Hopefully I'll be able to get my order in very soon.
