Finally ready to cleco and rivet the HS skins, so a couple of hundred clecos later...

More seems to be better in terms of alignment.

First flush rivets satisfying after all the prep.

Trying out the new Wifi endoscope. Clecos left, rivet shop heads right.

And with that the first piece of the plane is done! I'm still waiting for my grommet edging for the trim servo wire which can be easily fitted at the rear, and and some point I will need to fill the rivet heads, but very happy with how it has come out.

Now onto the VS!
